Battleaxe RPG: Unconquerable (Working Title)
The sun runs red. The mountains shake and the seas boil. Fire leaps upward from great cracks that plunge into interminable darkness below. Dwarven scholars at the Iron Fortress mark the start of a new era and worry that one of the Forty Sorcerers has returned. They nervously announce a new age, the Age of the Red Sun. Their fears are soon realized as they learn that the Unconquerable awakens from his slumber far below the Fortress Frostburg. The seals that once held him there are weakened and a terrible war between the agents of the Forty Sorcerers and the Mithril Kin threatens to completely sever the bonds that imprison him.
His awakening brings utter chaos and the face of Mordredica is forever changed. War erupts in all corners of the world and hate and lust for power corrode friendships and corrupt the weak. Goblin hordes break free of Gon Bran Garak and invade the realms of elf and man. Plagued by war for many years, the once great kingdom of Starladale now lies in ruin. In response to the chaos, a council of the Order convenes on the Shining Isle. It is a meeting of the secret Order of the Dawn, the inner-most circle of the Order itself. A pact is made and a call to arms goes out to all corners of the world, one that announces the search for heroes willing to lay down their lives fighting the Unconquerable.
So it is known that one of the Forty Sorcerers is rising from its dark slumber. So begins the War against the Unconquerable.
